Where to Live

WHERE TO LIVE

There is a wide diversity of cities to live in Israel.

_

JERUSALEM

Jerusalem is a favorite for religious Jews because of its closeness to the Wailing Wall (Kotel), the ancient temple. It is also one of the most expensive cities in Israel, similar in price range with Tel Aviv, Caesaria, Netanya, and Hertzliya. If you are an avid golfer, Caesaria has the only public golf course in Israel. Tel Aviv is a favorite for secular Jews, with its excellent shopping, Mediterranean beaches, and waterfront luxury condos

NORTH ISRAEL

Moderate prices exist in the north, in Haifa, and one our personal favorites, Zichron Yaakov, with its parks and beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea. There is also the northern spiritual city of Tsfat, for Jews who favor Kabbalah.

CENTRAL ISRAEL

In the center, there are moderately priced cities like Modiin, Petach Tikva, and Kfar Saba, among others.

SOUTH ISRAEL

In the south there are reasonably priced homes in Be’er Sheva, Ashkelon, Ashdod, and Beit Shemesh.

City life in Israel can be similar to the USA, in that there are sometimes crowded conditions like traffic, scarcity of easy parking, and crowded shopping, but it is always worth it just to be in the Holy Land.

Remember, homes in Israel can be priced similar to homes in the USA.

  • $200,000 - $300,000 for Condos
  • $300,000 -and up for Townhomes
  • $1,000,000 and up for Single Family Homes

Lots are expensive, and usually are smaller than lots in the USA.
Once you have determined your budget for purchasing your real estate, then you can determine the area along with it.

If you would prefer

to see Israel first before you purchase, you can arrange a tour with Yossi Maimon, to get a better feel for where you will be comfortable in Your Israeli Home. Keep in mind, if you are not moving into Your Israeli Home right away, you can swap it later for another type of housing. In the meantime, it will be easier to manage and maintain a moderately priced condo (apartment).
